This is graduation season! My oldest graduated high school last year and her PSW program this year. She’s off to Redeemer University in the Fall.
What about you? What have you “graduated” (and celebrated) recently? Perhaps you completed a course or finished a book. Did you get that garden planted or finish a home project? These are all opportunities to take a moment and give thanks…
…and perhaps reduce a touch of anxiety?
In Sonora’s principal’s speech he mentioned how anxiety and gratitude cannot exist in the brain at the same time. Hmm, does that sounds like Philippians 4:6?
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
You may not know what you’re “graduating” to next, but with prayer, petition and thanksgiving, you’re inviting God’s peace into the journey (v7). Anxiety doesn’t stand a chance against gratitude!
Drop a comment about what you’re celebrating (big or small) today!
