I’ve created content I call Family Rhythm. It’s simple content with far-reaching implications. I love how it connects the beauty of the Gospel with the daily rhythms of family life. Through a simple but powerful cycle—the 5 Rs—we can see how even the messes and mundane moments in our homes reflect the grand redemptive narrative of Scripture.
The 5 Rs: A Gospel Framework for Family Life
- Right Relationship (Creation) – The way things were meant to be—peace, love, and connection in the home.
- Relationship Broken (Fall) – The reality of sin—conflict, frustration, and disobedience disrupt harmony.
- Repercussions (Consequences of Sin) – The weight of brokenness—hurt feelings, distance, and natural consequences.
- Repentance (Turning Back to God) – The path to wholeness—acknowledging wrong, seeking forgiveness, and softening hearts.
- Restoration (Redemption in Christ) – The beauty of grace—reconciliation, renewed love, and a reminder of God’s work in us.
Lately, I’ve been revising and improving the content for visual storytelling, coaching and speaking engagements. There’s a lot of work involved from writing script to crafting handouts and presentations to making it usable for other leaders. I find all of it very life-giving! I’m eager to continue refining and sharing this message in ways that strengthen families and deepen faith for generations to come.
Would love to hear your thoughts—how have you seen these 5 Rs play out in your own home or community?
