I’ve been studying the use of the rod and staff in the Bible from the perspective of parenting-God’s parenting of us and our parenting of our kids. I find this blog insightful!

  1. Steve, thanks for the ‘like’. I can appreciate the focus of your blog immensely, being the mother of 5 children myself.

    I find, the more I study and learn, that our relationship with God is SO similar to the relationship of a parent and child. It really helps me to focus on that, and how I, as His child, make mistakes. It is through His style of ‘parenting’ that we can learn to parent our own children in the best way. I just wish I had learned these lessons when my oldest, who is now 18, was small. He’s a wonderful Christian young man. But, there are so many things I could have done better.
