Below is the content of a physical letter that I mailed out this week to friends and family:
September, 2024
Dear Friends and Family,
I am very excited to announce that I have reached my first support goal! (Notice the confetti!)
With my base partnership team set, I have been approved to report to my role as regional representative with FamilyLife Canada. God has challenged and stretched me in my faith and has brought people like you around to help launch this ministry. I’m so eager to dig more fully into my role so that the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His help and hope can be better leveraged for marriages, parents and families in Sarnia/Lambton, Southwestern Ontario, Canada and around the world!
In this role I’m excited to serve and grow in the following ways:
- inspiring families to know Christ personally and teaching God’s plan for family
- challenging God’s people to become HomeBuilders, people actively engaged in offering help and hope to other marriages, parents and families (could that be you?)
- participating in Weekend Getaway marriage conferences and other equipping experiences
- creating and developing networks and tools to equip HomeBuilders
- coaching churches and other organizations.
When I first set out on this adventure, our family welcomed an income cut, transitioning from a stable salary to raising my own support. Yet, the LORD has provided each step of the way in sometimes mysterious, but profound ways and we never went into debt. While now beginning my mission assignment, I will still be developing partnerships to build up the funds necessary for my family and long-term, sustainable and fruitful ministry.
If you have followed my progress so far, and want to invest financially, would you consider becoming a monthly partner with me and FamilyLife Canada? My goal is to raise another $1300/mo over the next year. Even starting a commitment of $10 or $25/month says, “We’re in this together!”
