What’s Your Big Dream?

“May your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread.” ~Matthew 6:10-11

I see two prayers here that Jesus taught us. One is to dream big for Him and the other is to be satisfied with our basic needs until His kingdom is fully established. Dreaming big is not about selfish ambition, but aligning our lives with God’s unique purpose for us. My big dream for God is that I can build more help and more hope for more families with a growing team. My daily bread is that I would have the funds to sustain this growing dream and inspire others to help share and expand this dream.

Consider how this specific context of marriage, parenting and family is set in the greater commission Jesus has provided for us as His disciples. I love Cru’s statement on this. (Cru is who Power to Change is affiliated with as a global mission agency. Power to Change is the umbrella organization for FamilyLife Canada of which I’m seeking to join very soon!)
